East African Retro Pop - The words that inspired the Creative Direction and Design Inspiration for Alsarah and the Nubatones. Alsarah and the Nubatones have crafted their own unique musical genre that blends influences from East Africa with contemporary sounds. For their creative direction, I sought to develop a bold visual identity that reflected this fusion. The design draws heavily on retro aesthetics, combining rich textures with vibrant colors, while maintaining a pop sensibility that also honors the cultural roots of East Africa.
